Air Comfort Solutions with Jason White
A lot of you will know Jason, seen him on the ACS advertisements or seen him playing for OU and winning the Heisman Trophy.
Jason was riddled with injury trouble during his college career and a short stint in the NFL. After accepting his injuries he turned to living his life. Thinking how can he support his family and what the best way for him to do that is. His ambition was to be a football coach but with a young daughter he knew he wouldn’t get much family time
He briefly worked in the investment world, owned some retail stores selling OSU and OU fan clothing. He was approchec by the owner of ACS to record some radio ads during football season. First coming on to do some advertising reads, after connecting really well with Mr Gregory the relationship grew to working more than a few months and into a longer time role. Jason came on full time in 2010 handling customer service and most recently taken over commercial side of the business.
Jason has been with the company for a long time now, in the interview we spoke about what the company is dong to help people affected by COVID19. Partnering with Cici’s Pizza and Cusack Meats to help provide food for those families in need. This is not something they jave decided to do because everyone else is dong but because its in their mission. It is what they do for the community. Previously they’ve given teachers money for their personal use, bought paper for schools when there was a shortage. ACS has always helped the comunity in times of need and this is no different.
One of the things me and Jason connected on was our love of golf. Jason picked up golf after college. As a fierce competitor golf is not the easiest sport to master, especially starting later in life. ACS hosts a tournament every year and raises money for local charities. Golf compares to Football in the competitiveness realm as well as trash talking. Athletes don’t lose that competitive edge, if they do they go stir crazy so Jason has found his new competitive sport that just so happens to be a way to engage with to clients, customers and prospective businesses.
We got a little off track talking about golf but hey, i’m sorry i could talk about golf for hours.
Obviously sitting with Jason for an hour we had to talk football. So i asked him what his favorite experience was. His top 3 at number 1 was OU-TX. The smell of corndogs and the fair as you get off the bus, running down the tunnel seeing the stadium split in half. Crimson to burnt orange. The other two were Texas A&M and then playing at Alabama.
Jason remembers his dad listening to OU games on the radio, talking about Bozworth and all the other greats. His dream growing up was to be that guy on the radio that his dad was listening to. He wasn’t recruited until coach Stoops came in and took a liking to Jason.
After Jasons career came to a halt, he turned to business. Owning a few fan stores selling OU and OSU clothing til one day the owner of ACS came to him for some radio advertisements during Football season. Jason started recodring radio ads, then tv ads and then theur relationship grew to him working for ACS full time. He is noW in charge of the commercial devision for Air Comfort Solutions. Jason is looking forward to his future with ACS, helping to grow the businesses and bring on other winning promoters like Adrian Peterson recently.
